At about $5,000 per year, tuition costs at BSC won’t leave you wondering if your education was worth the cost. Residents of North Dakota—as well as those of 10 other states, two Canadian provinces and qualifying active military and veterans—qualify for in-state tuition rates. Generous scholarships and financial aid packages are available, along with financial planning resources and advisor assistance to help you understand your costs.

BSC scholarships are funded by the BSC Foundation through contributions from alumni, employees, friends, parents, campus organizations and industry. Scholarships totaling more than $1.3 million are typically awarded for academics, technical programs, energy and more.

To be considered for BSC scholarships, you will need to complete the scholarship application.

Applying is fast and easy! Every student should apply for scholarships. Scholarships are not limited to financial need, and both part-time and full-time students are eligible.

To determine your financial aid eligibility, simply make sure your complete admissions application is on file with BSC as a degree-seeking student.

Waivers can help alleviate college expenses without the obligation of repayment. Many waiver programs are available and are considered part of your complete financial aid package. Each has its own unique set of requirements.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used in determining student grants, work-study and loan amounts. To be considered for financial aid, you will need to complete the FAFSA. To file:

  1. You must be a degree-seeking student in an eligible program and admitted to BSC in order to receive federal financial aid.

  2. Obtain a FSA ID, which you can get through the FAFSA website.

  3. Complete the FAFSA
